DCC DECODER AND SOUND SYSTEM INSTALLATION AND SALES EDDYSTONE is an authorized dealer and installer for DIGITRAX and SOUNDTRAXX.. We can also get and install other manufacturer's products, except for QSI. QSI custom designs/builds control systems for individual locomotives. They do not offer Quantum Sound (TM) systems on an after market, off the shelf basis. EDDYSTONE installs decoders and speakers in locomotives it is building, or servicing for customers. We can also provide you with components at below list prices, anything from a connector to the most expensive control systems. A smart way to save money is to bundle up items you want such as locomotive parts and decoders. You save on shipping by going to a single source. If you have a friend, or belong to a club, another way to save is to combine your orders-again it's one order, and a smaller shipping bill. To pick the right decoder, you need to find the space available for it aboard the locomotive and the motor's stall torque. You also need to anticipate any needed related parts. Many people prefer to send in a locomotive, and have the installation done for them as it's less bothersome. With the large and changing list of items available from all the manufacturers we can't recite their current product/price lists here. If you know what you need, you can order if from us. Check out Digitirax, and Soundtraxx for a list of their products. If you know what you want for an end result, such as: add a basic decoder to my locomotive or give me a decoder, with sound fill out the order form and forward it to EDDYSTONE. We will quote you, you send the money along with carefully wrapped locomotive. We do the work and you get your locomotive back. It's never happened, but if we have ordered the parts, and you cancel the order, there is a $15.00 handling charge, in addition to return postage, prepaid. Manufacturers warrantee their products. If you have a component failure, take it up with the manufacturer, as that is their policy. We do not do diesel installations, and not all locomotives can take a decoder. Working on brass steam locomotives is at our discretion. Trying to put a speaker in a brass Vanderbilt tender is a nightmare. If you own a rare $2,000.00 painted brass loco with three loose detail parts, we don't want the liability associated with it.
